At the beginning of 2004, Zhang Hong, who had ever been the head of CCTV-2 planning department, was struck by a strong desire to start his own business. As a senior media person, Zhang Hong guided a group of former CCTV reporters to struggle for their dream.
For the early phase, they started with TV magazine production and TV programming. One year later, their efforts finally got rewarded. They established their own company in 2005 and named it Dongkun.
Dong refers to East Sea, and Kun refers to gigantic whale. When put together, Dongkun is paraphrased as East King in English. Zhangzi once said: "No one knows how gigantic Kun really is." Our ambition to pursue great success is evidently shown in these two characters.
For five years we are moving step by step in the direction of great achievements.
Here you will find every effort we have made for the past few years. |
